Urban Policy Task Force

The Urban Policy Task Force was created by Governor Kaine by Executive Order in July 2006 to address the significant growth of sprawling metropolitan areas across Virginia -- and the various demands this growth has placed on state and local infrastructure, funds and services.

The Urban Policy Task Force has issued its first report to Governor Kaine (pdf, 1.54 mb), outlining the issues, action items and benchmarks state government should follow under a new comprehensive, statewide policy for urban areas.
