          	<title>$6 Million Investment in Dinwiddie County Announced</title>
			
			  	
			  
				
			
			
 	 <description><![CDATA[<strong> August 15 &mdash;</strong> Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that Earle M. Jorgensen Company (EMJ) will invest about $6 million to open a metal products distribution facility in Dinwiddie County, creating 16 jobs. <br /><br />"EMJ has grown into one of the largest metal distributors in the world," Governor Kaine said. "Dinwiddie County had a developable tract of land that met the company's needs and this new facility allows convenient access to EMJ's existing Mid-Atlantic customer base."

 	 <description><![CDATA[<strong> July 31 &mdash;</strong> Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that Metal Manufacturing and Processing (MMP), a division of Raleigh Mine & Industrial Supply Inc., will invest $3.2 million to open a processing facility for both metal fabrication and truck parts remanufacturing. The company will create 171 jobs in Tazewell County.Virginia successfully competed with Kentucky and West Virginia for the project.

The Commonwealth finished in the top 10 in four of the six categories examined in the review, which was published today.

 	 <description><![CDATA[<strong> July 29 &mdash;</strong> Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that AmeriPumps, LLC, a manufacturer of portable water pumps used in the construction and mining industries, hurricane recovery and aboard ships and boats, will invest $4.6 million to move its headquarters and manufacturing facility from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the Town of Hillsville in Carroll County. The company, which will assemble, ship and service water pumps throughout North America and the Western Hemisphere, will create 125 jobs.Virginia successfully competed with Tennessee for the project.
